Sunday School
Each Week 11:30am - 12:30 pm
Early Bird Adult Class at 9:00 - 9:45
Adult Classes:
“The Wired Word” is a new class
aimed at young adults, but open to all ages. The internet-based
curriculum addresses the latest news from a biblical and theological
perspective. Each week you will receive a lesson “hot off
the presses” by e-mail or on paper. Meets at 11:30 in the
Conference Room, taught by Wayne and Kym Wilkinson.
The Present Word is our longest-running, most
dedicated class, but always welcoming of newcomers. This fall
the focus is on the idea of “covenant” as found in
the Old Testament. Beloved teachers Bill Hennessy and Jeannine
Baumgartle continue this class at the early bird time of 9:00
in the Conference Room.
Sharing Spiritual Journeys (11:30, Fellowship
Hall) was the “surprise hit” of last year. The strong
point is personal sharing (from those who choose to do so) on
how we are seeking to live our faith. We are currently looking
at all of the aspects that make up spiritual practices and what
works for us (and doesn’t). Led by John James and the whole
class.
Youth—The Journey Continues
Junior High
The fall class for grades six through eight will continue with
the “Faith in Motion” curriculum that has been a success.
Dave and Bonnie Dahline
will teach once again.
Senior High
How can teenagers in 2006 follow
Jesus in daily life? What good is the
Bible for today’s questions? Does God have a plan for our
lives? What does it really mean to be a disciple of Christ? Candace
Hill, Debbie Adams, and Steve Powell will lead us on a year long
journey of questions!
Confirmation
A class for youth to learn about their own faith, Christian belief,
the PC(USA) and Corydon Presbyterian and to consider making the
commitment of professing their faith and joining the church. The
class, for grade seven and above, will begin slowly in the fall
and get more focused in January. Scott Hill will lead, with
other adult leaders and mentors.
Pre School - 6th Grade: Dedicated teams of teachers and
shepherds for toddlers through 5th graders have answered the call
and
are planning and readying lessons and activities that will lead
our children to know more about God, themselves, and one another.
The CE hour this year will include classes for toddlers and 2’s,
